My uncle who is doctor by profession always says, the man who gets hot meal and good ventilation (light and air) at the time of eating is the most luckiest man on this planet. As his profession demands no personal time, he rarely gets hot meal and good time to enjoy that meal with full family. I totally agree with him and I also think, "The flavour of the food doubles when it is shared with the loved ones and cooked with love". When Meeta of What's For Lunch Honey? along with guest hostess Michelle of What's Cooking Blog a blog dedicated to "cooking with kids for a better body, planet and community" came up with healthy and nutritious meals theme for monthly mingle called Healthy Family Dinners, made me think what Iam going to cook to paticipate in this healthy event. Time spent with family is always a happy time and that to time spent together on dinning table feasting upon the delicacies are GOOD TIMES and memorable too. This is very common and much liked dinner meal in my family.
First to start with is Vegetable Studded Fried Rice. The vegetables (potatoes, carrots, beans, peas) along with Indian spices blend to infuse their aroma with rice to give a flavourful Vegetable Fried Rice. You can have a look at the recipe here.
Second in the row is spicy potato curry which is popularly called as Aloo Khorma. This is a perfect blend of potatoes with spices along with coconut milk. This Aloo Khorma makes a perfect side dish with Vegetable Fried Rice. You can find the recipe here.
Third to come is Dahi Ki Chutney. A yogurt based recipe which includes onions, green chillies, coriander leaves,......Makes great combo with Vegetable Fried Rice and Aloo Khorma. Recipe for dahi ki chutney can be found here.
Last but not least, is a piquant dessert. After a hot, spicy and alluring meal, a lusciuos Carrot Ka Halwa is comforting and ends the meal on a sweet note. Look at the recipe here.
This whole scrummy, healthy and happy family meals is going to participate in Monthly Mingle - Healthy Family Meals hosted by Michelle of What's Cooking Blog and the event Monthly Mingle was started by Meeta of What's For Lunch Honey?
Table is laid, plates are set, food is ready.....What are you waiting for dear friends? Come indulge with me....

Assalamualaikum,
The way to put plates downside-up is very similar to traditional serving on dining table of Indonesian households. Eating as a family is a regular activity for us, even at lunch time, when John's at the office, me and the kids always sit together and have lunch. It is a close relationship of parents-children, and also the time for us all appreciate what's to enjoy. Would like to sit there and enjoy the meals with you and your family.
Wassalam,
ab
